Beautiful Day

What a beautiful day today. It's hard to believe spring is not here yet. Today the kids and I hit the park. It seems like FOREVER since we've been to the park. Jake rode his new bike up and down the trails, and Jeffrey squealed with delight as he loves to swing. I really can't wait for summer to be here. Hopefully we will have plenty of days of warm weather and little wind to get out and play. I LOVE the sun.

Golden Ticket Day!!

Today is Jacob's Golden Ticket Day! This was a gift from his Auntie Laura and Uncle Mike. Jacob will be enjoying the afternoon with them bowling, having snacks, and playing some arcades. He is totally excited for this day, and has been keeping a close eye on his ticket for fear of no admittance without it. His cousins Delanie and Summer also received Golden Tickets and will be joining in on the fun.

Cowboy Day!

Jacob had a week in school where they studied the "wild wild west" as he called it. They made stick horses, ate "cowboy beans" (baked beans), and learned about old times in the west. This of course was a great lesson for Jake as he loves cowboys (third to Star Wars and super hero's). He was able to wear his boots and hat, and just plain had a ball. This is a pic of Jake just as we were leaving for school.

Jeffrey today is all about Guitar Hero. It is hilarious to see him dance and strum a guitar to Guns n Roses' "Welcome to the Jungle". This kid has some pretty slick moves too. I only wish I could take a picture of him without him stopping to say "cheeeese". I did get this pretty cute picture of him at play with is second love.... hot wheel cars.

Jammie Days

This is for sure another favorite thing. So, if I have to put up with this horribly cold weather, there is nothing better than staying all snuggly warm in your warm jams and slipper socks. Since I have yet to adjust to this not so pleasant, wish it were Vegas weather, this is what I hold on to. Snuggling in and watching movies all day is a great way pass the time until spring. The kids don't mind so much either.

It's Official

Jacob is a man! He is completly, 100%, unable to multi task. Whenever he is fighting some sort of illness, Jacob suddenly can not use the bathroom at night. If Jake is feeling well, no problem, he gets up just fine, uses the toliet, flushes, and even washes his hands. Something about having a sore throat and cough completly disables his ability to use the bathroom. I just don't understand.

Happy Valentines Day!

Jacob and Jeffrey both had Valentines Day parties today. Jacob's was with his class at school and Jeffrey's at playgroup.

Jacob has especially been looking forward to this day. He has had his outfit for today laid out since last week. I must say that he looked super handsom today. He has a little girlfried in class named Emily that he is quite fond of (sorry Avery). He took special care in her valentine today. She even brought Jacob a ballon and a special picture she colored. Ahhhhh young love.

Jeffrey obviously could care less about today. All he was interested in was eating. I think he only had two cookies and one cupcake, give or take.

Tonight will be a lay low kinda night. Lost is on tonight, so what else would I want to do but snuggle up on the couch with Jason and our favorite drama. I'm sure he will think of things. Hope everyone has a very loving day, and remember to tell the people that you love how much you care for and love them everyday of the year.
I love you all!

Jason

Thanks to my wonderful friend Lori in Las Vegas, I have been tagged to answer a series of questions about the love in my life. We really don't say enough about our husbands on this thing, so I would love to share.

1. His name? Jason Michael

2.How long did you date? 1 1/2 years. We were engaged in just a short 7 months. I guess you just know when it's right.

3. How old is he? Jason turns 31 this month. Ouch that hurts.

4. Who eats more sweets? This would have to be a push. We both have our moments. Jason definitely drinks more milk shakes than I do, but I like the cookies. Neither of us really digs candy.

5. Who is taller? Jason is, but only by a few inches. I do have to watch what shoes I wear. Jason is only 5'10.

6. Who has more speeding tickets? I do, Sorry Mom. Jason seems to always talk his way out of one. I on the other hand don't even try. I know I have done wrong. In college I was stopped twice in one weekend. Apparently I didn't learn the first time. I never told anyone.

7. Who can sing better? I don't think I have ever heard Jason try to sing. Even in Church I have not heard his singing voice. I love to sing, even though I mimic the wanna be's on American Idol. Watch your glass.

8. Who does the laundry? We both do. , although it drives me nuts when he does it. I like to put the clothes away right out of the dryer. Jason likes to do ALL the laundry and then put the clothes away. That is just too overwhelming to me, so I can't be home when he does laundry.

9. Who pays the bills? I do. Unless one gets missed, than it's Jason's job. 10. Who cooks dinner? I feel that dinner is totally my job. I like to cook for my family. Jason is very appreciative, so I like to do that for him. He then will help out by cleaning up afterwards.

11. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Jason. This really makes no sense because I have to look over him to see the TV.

12. Who Drives? Jason mostly He likes the control.

13. Who is more stubborn? Jason. I just like to try and keep everyone happy. I guess it depends on the issue.

14. Who asked who out first? Jason asked me out. We met at the "Lucky Star" a dance club in Denver. I thought Jason was MUCH older than I was but talked with him anyway (his friend was hitting on my friend, so I guess I had nothing else to do HAHA). He got my phone number (which I have never done at a dance club) and called me. Our first date was to the "Taste of Colorado" on Sep 3 2000. All of my sisters and my parents spied on him picking me up to see if he would open the door for me. He passed.

15. Who kissed who first? Jason kissed me first. At the club on my cheek, and then on our first date.

16. Who said I love you first? I did. Jason will try to say that it was him or that he was about to say it, but it was me. WOW I can't believe I did that. 17. Who Proposed? Jason of course. I already said I love you first, I can't do everything. He proposed in a park under this HUGE oak tree. It was very sweet. He will try to tell you that I was surprised, but I totally knew. 18. Who has more siblings? Depends, Do you count step and Half siblings? If you do, than Jason. 1 full sister, 1 half sister and 2 half brothers, and 2 step sisters. I have 3 wonderful, best friends you could ever have, sisters. I love you guys!

19. Who wears the pants? I have to copy Lori, and say we both wear one leg. We discuss things and try to agree together. If we absolutely can not agree and the issue can not be forgotten, Jason has the final say. Not without utter discuss on my end of course.

I absolutely love Jason with every part of my soul. He is an unbelievable husband and an even better father. I could not even imagine my life without him, nor would I want to. He is funny, kind, giving, smart, hard working and would do anything for his family and friends. I just hope he knows how much he is truly appreciated, loved and respected by me. April 27th will be our 6th wedding anniversary.

I now tag my sister Mandie to share about her husband if she so desires.

One of my favorite things..

Baking cupcakes with the kids. The excitement they feel as the cupcakes are baking is so wonderful to see. The little things that make them smile bring me so much joy.

Super Bowl

For those of you that saw the game, we can all agree it was exciting. My favorite part is the commercials of coarse. This year there were a few that caught my eye. I would say the winner in my book would be Will Ferrel's Bud Light commercial
