Swimming

Jacob is finishing up his 6 week swimming class this week. Although we have seen much improvement in his stroke, he could use a little more work in the actual "getting in" part. He is still scared jump in. I'm hoping that with a little more practice and trust in his instructor, this too will improve. If not, it will be a LONG summer.

I guess if I pulled a move like that, I would be scared too. I am just glad he tried again. As Uncle Scott would say, that was a "full pull".

Let's Go Fly a Kite

Today was so windy outside, it was a great day to fly a kite. Believe it or not this is the first time we've tried this. Jake had a great time, while Jeffrey was not a thrilled. Every time the kite would come crashing down or fly towards him, he would scream in terror. We didn't stay out long because the wind was a little cold. Overall a great first time.

Jake's drawing of GOD

Sorry it has been so long since I have checked in. To tell you the truth , I don't even know what I have been busy with. We are back though and everyone is good. Now to the matter at hand.
I absolutely think this is the funniest drawing Jacob has done to date. Apparently his teacher Mrs. Jewell, wanted the children to each draw a picture of God and then describe it to her, as she wrote what they said on their picture. Mrs. Jewell proudly displayed each of the children's pictures in her class room for about 3 weeks. It wasn't until we were able to take the pictures home that I REALLY looked at it. I had one of the biggest laughs. I asked Jake to tell me about his picture he drew. Sure enough, he said exactly what Mrs Jewell wrote. That God was being silly because he was walking funny. I then asked him about "God's funny feet, and what a silly smile He had" He then pointed to the picture and said "and there's God's pee pee". It was confirmed, that really was what I thought it was. Details... details.... My Son the Artist, I am so proud.
